Phil is quite good at cycling

London to Brighton medal

We are proud to announce that yesterday our very own Phil Cole completed the British Heart Foundation's London to Brighton Bike Ride 2010. We'd all like to take this opportunity to congratulate him and let you know that you can still sponsor him on his JustGiving team page here and also take a look at the BHF website where Phil's photo has made the homepage.

Happy Birthday to us

Preview is 15

Last night was party night for everyone here at Preview. We invited our friends, partners and suppliers to join us in celebrating our 15th birthday. Not many agencies make it to 15 years of business, so we think it’s a landmark worth celebrating.

We’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of those who came to the party and helped to make it a very special night. The most respectable of the photos taken, can be seen on our Flickr feed (the rest will be held to ransom).

It’s great to look back at our achievements, but we are far more excited about the future. So we’ve decided to create a virtual time capsule of predictions for the next 15 years. We’ve already started the collection off by making our predictions for the next fifteen years, so now we’d like to hear from you.

Taking part is very simple. All you have to do post your prediction on Twitter, tagged with #preview15

We've tidied up

ta da!

We've had a bit of an update here on the website. The content has had a polish, the images have had a scrub and our social networks have been plugged in.

The paint is still wet, but we hope you like it. If you have any comments on the update, please feel free to add them here.

Calling all artists in the Brighton area

Your artwork here

We are looking for a talented and exciting artist to exhibit work in our office space. Our ground floor reception/office has a 12’ high by 23’ wide wall space, which is crying out for some artwork to fill it.

We don’t mind if it’s bespoke work, an evolving series or a selection of your favourite work, as long as it’s really good.

If your interested send your details to Martyn, our Creative Director.

lowcostholidays website scoops award

we have a winner, lowcostholidays.com, travolution awards 2009

At this year’s prestigious Travolution awards, our client lowcostholidays.com beat off stiff competition from Thomson, Thomas Cook and STA Travel to scoop win the Best Agent-Operator award for their website (which we designed). Fist bumps and high fives all round our studio today.

The judges said:
“A clear and coherent design, no-nonsense approach which sticks to its core product offering. A fantastic example of how to stick to the basics but ensure the proposition is well-executed for its target audience.”

Lawrence Hunt, Director at lowcostholidays.com says:
"Well done, you have worked so hard during the last 12 months in building our fantastic web site, thank you for your commitment and dedication you've done a fantastic job and you should be proud of our site"

Yay us.

The Preview Review

a different kind of branding agency

This time last year we decided to turn our process in on ourselves and review our brand strategy.

We began the process by carving out some time in between our client work, to get together and share what we’ve learnt over the past few years. We looked at the projects that went very well and even the ones that didn’t go so well. It was important for us to openly and honestly discuss our strengths and weaknesses, along with closely dissecting how our clients engage us as a business and what they need from us.

We are 15!

We are 15

This month we celebrated our fifteenth year in the creative business. Our age is something we are very proud and it’s something we think is worth celebrating.

According to a recent report on the Cultural and Creative Sector by the Learning & Skills Council the lifespan of a creative agency in the South East is just five years. When we look back at our history it’s hard not to feel proud of all we have achieved, but it also seems the perfect moment to look forward at the exciting times we have in front of us.

We marked our birthday with a (reasonably well behaved) team outing, but we that’s not all. We are planning a much bigger celebration later in the year with balloons and everything. More details on our plans and invites will be posted in the coming months.

Hello Paul

Please welcome Paul Goldsmith. Paul is the second student from Northbrook College to join our studio on an internship, in the past two months. Paul has been getting stuck in to helping out on internal and client projects.

His internship is part of our ongoing support of local colleges and universities. We are always happy to hear from education institutes in the region, to help develop relationships and support educational development programmes.

We believe that children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way. Everybody sing!

Hello Karl

This week we are saying 'hello' to Mr Karl Nichols. Karl has joined our studio on an internship from his final year on Northbrook's Graphic Design HND course.

He has been spending time with our designers and learning how we operate. So far he has got stuck in to Preview's project list and been helping out on one of our identity creation projects.

Soon we will teach Karl some very important lessons about 'how to buy a round at the bar'.
