Queen Victoria Hospital is a specialist NHS hospital providing life-changing reconstructive surgery, burns care and rehabilitation, based in East Grinstead. Their website provides audiences with information about the hospital, their staff and their services.

After deploying a newly developed brand to QVH's existing website, the time soon came where a new bespoke Content Managed back-end was also required. A new CMS platform would be needed to ensure management of all content, including events, consultants and publications and a responsive template would ensure compatibility on all screen sizes. The ability to manage downloadable documents was also necessary, as well functionality to allow the team to add details of latest successes and news on the homepage banner.

How we helped

Utilising the WordPress framework we created a series of custom content management features to allow full control over the creating and editing of the above content types, images and downloads. We completed a migration exercise to ensure all existing content would still be available and provided training to allow the QVH team to start adding additional content straight away.

An intuitive, feature rich interface ensures multiple members of the QVH team can share responsibility for keeping the full range of site content up to date. Fully compatible, responsive templates ensure that the site can be easily used by all audiences on all devices.
