Biography

I'm Richard, an award-winning creative with over 23 years' experience, having graduated from the much respected Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication in 1987.

My body of work includes projects for diverse sectors from the public sector, blue chip corporate accounts, film & media industry to the arts, where he has been relentless in furthering information graphic design and typography by continually challenging the technical and creative disciplines. My primary strength lies in determining how to communicate information optimally across different media - from print (corporate identity/brand, books, brochures) to screen (websites, interactive CD-, DVD-Rom, video).

One of my specialities is in the art of wayfinding where he explores and delivers how communities and visitors engage with a place through signage, embedded artworks and typographic narratives.

I'm a Board Director of the International Society of Typographic Designers, a fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) and sits on the steering committee of the South Coast Design Forum (Brighton). I'm also an assessor for the annual student assessment for the ISTD and the University of Arts Creative Challenge.
